As soon as summer 2022 drew to a close, we've been getting sniffs of pumpkin spice lattes and getting wind of Christmas carols in the distance... Ho ho ho, it's time to spend... but before you spend some quality time with the family, it's perfectly okay to spend some of that well-earned cash on some of the hottest phones on the market!

Naturally, this means that

Black Friday 2022 is also fast approaching—the best time of the year to do your holiday shopping as almost every piece of lucrative tech is getting massively discounted! And what's a better way to get into the Android ecosystem than drinking straight from the sources:

Google's own Pixel phone portfolio.

We know, we know, last year wasn't great for potential Google Pixel adopters, as few of these went on sale during the shopping bonanza, but hey, there's always the chance that things will be better this year! In this article here, we will be exploring what went down for the Google Pixel lineup in terms of price cuts in 2021, and draw our expectations for this year's Black Friday event.

Google Pixel 7 deals to expect

Announced on October 7, the Pixel-series is already available on the shelves. Continuing the footsteps of the Google Pixel 6-series, the new

Pixel 7 Pro and

Pixel 7 also seemingly drop out of the raw performance arms race and instead rely on bringing excellent user experience and artificial intelligence boons to the mix. What's more, these two also bring the signature Pixel camera look to a whole new level thanks to tons of smart new camera features.

If we have to draw conclusions about this year's expected Pixel Black Friday deals, we will have to turn our heads back to 2021 and see what some of the notable promotions were. For example, we can probably anticipate some great Pixel 7 deals on Best Buy: during the last Black Friday, the retailer had a mind-boggling $150 price cut on the already ultra-affordable Pixel 6, which normally sold for $599, if you activated it with AT&T. Guess what, that's the same price that the Google Pixel 7 goes for, so we can only hope that it might score a similar price slash!

Speaking of AT&T, the carrier had its own excellent 50% off on the Pixel 6, with a new unlimited plan but no trade-in required, so we hope that the Pixel 7 also gets some similar love from the carrier this year as well!

Google Pixel 6 deals to expect

While the Pixel 6-series is already discontinued and not officially sold by Google, we expect that most retailers may offer great price cuts on the Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6 in order to clear their stock.

As we mentioned earlier, one of the best Google Pixel 6 deals back in 2021 was on Best Buy, where you could get it for the insane $450 if you buy it unlocked and activate service with AT&T. That's a $150 price drop! If you didn't fancy AT&T you can still get the Pixel 6 for $500 with the same deal through the rest of the listed carriers. AT&T was offering the Pixel 6 at 50% off with a new unlimited plan and no trade-in required. The

Pixel 6 Pro, on the other hand, did not see any discounts except those you can still get with a trade-in and a new plan.

As the Pixel 6-series is near the end of its life, we suppose that most carriers will try to clear their stock and subject the two former flagship to really massive price cuts and promotions. While we'll certainly recommend getting the newer Pixel 7-series, don't pass up on Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro, especially if you find a great deal on those two.

Pixel 6a deals

We expect great deals on the

Pixel 6a this Black Friday! But why?

It's sort of logical to assume that by drawing parallels to the way the

Pixel 5a was announced last year. Indeed, the

Pixel 5awas Google's most budget-friendly handset on the market last year. While it was a very slight upgrade from the Google Pixel 4a and it didn't come with the recently-debuted Tensor chip, it still proved to be a great option.

Which Pixel should you get?

The new Pixel 7-series is Google's best so far, with top-notch specs and superb design. That said, Big G's two new phones aren't that much different from the Pixel 6-series, with most of the differences being camera enhancements, quality-of-life improvements, and slight visual touch-ups. So, which new phone to get?

Like with any other purchase, it is best to begin with your budget. Keep in mind that many of the perks a Pixel phone offers can be found in older models too, so you don't necessarily need the latest one to enjoy the Google experience. With that in mind, the Pixel 7-series will definitely be the most advanced new Pixels at the time Cyber Monday 2022 hits, so it would make sense to consider either the Google Pixel 7 Pro or the Pixel 7. Considering that Google didn't increase the pricing from the Pixel 6-series, getting the latest phones is a no-brainer, especially if you find a killer deal.

If the new phones don't strike your fancy, you might want to consider the Pixel 6-series which could certainly be subjected to massive stock-clearing sales. Think price cuts bordering 50% or more! Seeing that there aren't that many differences between the Google Pixel 7-series and Pixel 6-series, you might want to consider the older phones, but be advised that supplies might not last too long, and you might miss some niche exclusive features that only the new phones get, like the new Tensor G2 chipset and some camera features.

Finally, the Google Pixel 6a is another budget possibility that we love. It's an affordable phone done right, with most of the same Pixel DNA present here, and just slight corner-cutting in ways that are not too off-putting to regular consumers. You can't really go wrong with that one!

Where to find the best Pixel deals on Black Friday?

Long story short, we expect most of the noteworthy Google Pixel deals this Black Friday to take place on any, if not all of the following retailers and outlets: Google Store, Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and so on. Chances are that most online stores will be hosting a sale on the Pixel series, so it's worth checking them out when the time comes! Of course, rest assured that we will be helping you separate the wheat from the chaff and will be showcasing the very best deals on the Pixels in this article.

Can I get an unlocked Pixel phone on Black Friday?

Yes, the majority of Pixel deals this Black Friday will allow you to get an unlocked Google Pixel phone. Be it the Google Store itself, Best Buy, or Amazon, you will most certainly be able to snatch an unlocked Pixel phone.

Is Black Friday a good time to buy a Pixel phone?

Black Friday is arguably the best time to get a Google Pixel phone. Why? Because Google, just like any other major hardware manufacturer, will seek to maximize its pre-holiday season sales, and thus, it will participate in the Black Friday deals bonanza. We expect the biggest price cuts on

Pixel phones this very Black Friday, so if you've ever entertained the thought of getting a Google Pixel phone, late November 2022 will be the perfect time to do so. Act fast or you will miss the sale, and uncertainty lingers as to when the next saucy Pixel deal will land!
